Today, is Christmas Eve. The Gospel starts with Jesus being born to the Virgin Mary. The Gospel is the fact that Jesus was born to live life on earth as a man. The purpose of his birth was that someday he would die for our sins. Luckily, the Gospel doesn’t stop with Jesus being born and dying. It ends with Him rising from the dead which brings salvation to us all. Paul tells us in Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek” I’m thankful for the power in both the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus. I’m glad that I can someday live with God.
